Dynamics 365 Consulting

Being aware of all frustrations and risks an implementation project brings along both for End-Clients and partners, especially when it comes to pricing models, security options, customizations, going over budget, availability of resources, we help our clients obviate some of the frustrations and risks before starting or during an end-to-end implementation.

Challenges and Frustrations of an IT Project

Nowadays IT projects brings many challenges and frustrations along, especially in the last couple of years where remote working has become very common practice. Communication is then becoming a challenge for all stakeholders. A lot of projects failed due to miscommunication or lack of communication.

Unfortunately, communication is not the only challenge many face during an implementation. Projects most commonly fail because there is a lack of attention and efforts being applied to seven project performance factors, according to Discenza, R. & Forman, J. B, PMI® Global Congress.

Discenza & Forman classify these 7 failures into three main categories People, Process and Communication. According to their survey 43% of the projects failed due to project Communications factors, while 42% failed due to Process factors and only 32% of the respondent’s thought People were a key factor in the failure of projects they were involved with.

According to a survey conducted by Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA, 2007), 28% of the participants claimed poor communications as the major cause of project failure. While 18% of them noted poor resource planning (People factor) as second major cause of project failures.

There are extensive tools to support, and academic studies done to help prevent most of these failures.

We utilize these tools and studies to help our clients prevent these failures.
